High School Announcements  (Grades 9-12)

Principal Note for High Schoolers: On May 2, the HS baseball team will play Verona at 12:00. The student body has been invited to attend. There will be full concessions and Andy’s frozen yogurt available for purchase. If you do NOT give permission for your child to attend, please contact Kierstin (417-369-3271 or kdawson@hurleytigers.org) by Thursday, May 1. 

Counselor Note for High Schoolers: All ICAPs are finished.  If your child has not discussed with you their ICAP and you would like more information, please email me at kslater@hurleytigers.org.

Club Announcements: 

FFA

  • 2025-26 FFA Officer Interviews are Wednesday April 30th during 8th hour. 

  • Chapter Banquet is May 3rd at 4pm in the multipurpose gym. 

  • End of Year Trip to Silver Dollar City is May 10. This trip is for the top 15 on the points chart, the final list will be made after the banquet. 

Jr. High Announcements (Grades 7th & 8th)

Teacher announcements for Jr. High Core Subjects: 

7th grade ELA (Knight): 7th grade will continue working on their “Guided by a Cause” unit

7th grade Reading (Lumpkin): This week, 7th grade will be MAP testing in ELA. 

7th grade Math (Conlee): This week, 7th grade will be MAP testing in ELA. 

7th grade Science (Hampton):  Students will start on our environmental unit learning about the idea of thinking globally; however, acting locally.

7th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Students are MAP testing this week and next week during the 1st hour.

8th grade ELA (Knight): 8th grade will continue working on their “Value of Work” Unit

8th grade Reading (Lumpkin): This week, 8th grade will be MAP testing in Math.

8th grade Math (Conlee):This week, 8th grade will be MAP testing in Math.

8th grade Science (Hampton):  Students will start a new unit in the area of waves learning their parts, characteristics, and science waves in our real world.

8th grade Social Studies (Donnell): Eighth grade will be continuing to learn about the United States Constitution and take a test covering the information.
