In accordance with the Revised Statutes for the State of Missouri (RSMo, Sections 162.261 and
162.291) pertaining to elections, the first date for filing for a director's position on the Hurley R-
I Board of Education will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. The last date for filing
a director's position will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025. No applications will be accepted
after 5:00 p.m. on that date. Terms of the election are served in length of three (3) years. There are
three (3) positions open for election.
Qualifications for Hurley R-I School District patrons desiring to be elected to the Hurley R-I
Board of Education, according to RSMo 162.291, stipulates that a person must be a citizen of the
United States, a resident tax payer of the district, must have resided in this State for one year next
preceding their election, and must be at least twenty-four(24) years of age.
Applications for a director's position may be obtained from the Hurley R-I Superintendents
office on any scheduled work day, Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
3:30 p.m.
Please note that the Hurley R-I Superintendent's office will be closed to applications for director
filings from December 20, 2025 through December 30, 2025 due to the Christmas Holiday. The
Hurley R-I Superintendent's office will be open December 31, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Ballot
order will be determined by the order of filing.
