Hurley FFA members attended Career Exploration Day at the MU Research Center in Mt. Vernon. They learned about a variety of careers and research projects in agriculture. Topics included grafting tomato plants, trapping and wildlife management, forestry, veterinarian medicine, horses, growing elderberries, black walnut production, at home poultry production, and many more. At one station students were able to assist in cutting up a live chicken and learning the parts of a carcass. #HurleyTigerUp

Reminder: Tomorrow we are celebrating Grandparents Day September 20th, 2:30-3:30. Pre-K through 6th grade students will be participating. Kindergarten-6th grade students will be performing in the multi-purpose gym before returning to their classrooms to complete different activities with their grandparents. Pre-K grandparents can go straight to the Pre-K building.
