Yesterday we had the privilege of attending an executive luncheon at Jack Henry. The purpose behind the luncheon was to allow for our GOCAPS students to share their knowledge and work with the program to other area educators and fellow students. Congratulations to Cali and Wyatt who were ambassadors for their strands, you represented the school well!

Cali Frogley has qualified for State Competition in Cross Country, again! This week we had a school-wide send off for her. Staff and students lined the halls to cheer for her as she was heading out for competition. Students made signs to hold up for her and notes of encouragement that she could take with her. We are so proud of Cali!

The deadline for registering for the December 9th ACT test is tomorrow, Friday, November 3, 2023. If you take the December test, ACT is offering a free retake. If your student is a sophomore through senior, this would be a great opportunity for him/her to be able to take the ACT twice for one price. Additionally, I have five fee waivers for those students who qualify. If you have any questions, or if I can help you in any way, please feel free to contact me.

Happy Friday Tigers! FFA will be selling donuts for $1 this morning while supplies last. Yesterday a few of our members who are interested in a career in animal science, conservation, and soil/water had the opportunity to take a trip to a local Stone County farm with local Stone County FFA members. We met with representatives from NRCS and the Soil and Water Conservation District to learn about the balance between raising livestock and growing crops. We would like to send a huge shout out to the Crane Ag Program as well! Thank you to Mrs. Shoenberger and her students who provided lunch for everyone outside of the elements after our tour.
