OTC is committed to helping our local economy recover post-pandemic by offering no-cost tuition programs. These programs allow individuals to explore new career pathways, gain required skills for those new industries, and become immediately employable in those particular areas. The Springfield Cardinals, along with Delaware North: the stadium's food and beverage company and Brokate Janitorial will host a job fair on Thursday, Jan. 27 to fill seasonal part-time gameday positions for the 2022 season. The fair will take place from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Hammons Field Indoor Training Facility. Face covering are required.
Applicants should be energetic, friendly and dependable, and look forward to contributing to the welcoming and fun atmosphere of Hammons Field. Those interested in a position with the Cardinals, Delaware North or Brokate Janitorial can see a listing of all jobs by clicking the link below.

8th grade had a wonderful day studying sound waves with musical glasses! They not only could see the wave inside of the glass, but they could hear pitch differences based on how full they were. I think all of our ears were hurting by the end, but we had a great time learning!

Mr. Moody’s 7th grade History class went on a walking field trip to the Historical marker where Lydia Short killed a Confederate soldier with an axe in defense of her husband. Students also went to the “bush whacker “ grave. The class is studying a special unit about the Civil War in Missouri.





Drama Club will resume Tuesday, January 18. We will meet until 4:50.

We are sad to see that many of our eighth graders are under the weather! We had a GREAT time working with waves today though! Students used contact paper and yarn to show different types of waves based on the vocabulary they learned this week.





The Junior class would like to have a baked goods silent auction on January 28th during Homecoming. If you are interested in donating a baked good for the auction, please contact Amy Chamberlain at 417-369-3271. All proceeds will benefit the Hurley Junior/Senior Prom.

Fall pictures are scheduled for January 21, 2022. We will send out another reminder closer to that date. :)

Hurley Basketball Boys are playing Walnut Grove tonight at 6:00 at home. We need some loud fans in our stands, so come out and cheer on our boys!!
