8th grade had a wonderful day studying sound waves with musical glasses! They not only could see the wave inside of the glass, but they could hear pitch differences based on how full they were. I think all of our ears were hurting by the end, but we had a great time learning!

We are sad to see that many of our eighth graders are under the weather! We had a GREAT time working with waves today though! Students used contact paper and yarn to show different types of waves based on the vocabulary they learned this week.
over 3 years ago, Mrs. M&M's Science Room
Thank goodness for the sun on these colder days!
Students made “challenges” for their peers to guess.
Students were challenged to use all of the yarn which proved difficult for some!
Students worked to show different amplitude and frequency of waves.
